The Affair of the Poisons by Mark Burrows

When previous cast-mate Mark Burrows invited me to record for the original musical/concept album he’s writing, I jumped at the opportunity. Seeing this piece come together from recording to final production was incredible. Mark’s talent for arrangement has been a beautiful skill to bear witness to. Below is the recording of my solo, which leads into a trio.

Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins

After several years of focusing on primarily comedic and lighthearted musical theater, I got the amazing opportunity to be a part of Wee Productions’ inaugural production of Assassins playing Lynette (Squeaky) Fromme. This was the artistic challenge that I had been looking for, and it certainly did not disappoint. I’m so grateful for the good and the bad that not only Squeaky, but all the assassins taught me.

Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival

I recently was part of the inaugural Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival! I had such a blast getting to learn from incredible playwrights while also getting to do my first staged reading ever. I got to play Val in Randi & Roxanne by Rachel Graf Evans, which was the perfect marriage of my softball experience and my love of theatre! It was also my first time getting to perform without a mask since the pandemic began, which was absolutely amazing.

The New Normal

This production was originally meant to be Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, but when the pandemic hit we decided to accommodate accordingly. Due to this, the production became a collection of short plays filmed filmed sit-com style. This was such a unique experience and one of the few times that I will probably ever get to work on a short scene for performance purposes. I also loved getting the experience being on a film set!

Heathers: The Musical

This was definitely the raunchiest yet most exhilarating experience I’ve had yet! I absolutely LOVED diving into Heather MacNamara and getting to let it all out with this crazy story.

Bring It On!

The time I learned how to cheer and fly in 3 weeks 😅

All jokes aside, Campbell was such a fun role to play. I loved playing a character that I relate to on such a personal level. Not to mention, this was my first paid acting job which was so exciting! The cast of Bring It On holds such a special place in my heart. I love and miss them all :)

My one perfect moment :’)
